There are two options to handle outlets and switches:
Option 1: you can use a box extender and cut the slatwall only as large as the electrical box. Using the box extender, you can bring the outlet or switch to the surface of the slatwall and then re-install the cover plate.
Option 2: You can cut the slatwall around the outlet or switch cover plate. This larger hole will then have exposed edges, you can use our wide trim to cover these edges for a more seamless look,
