Our Standard Duty slatwall panels (including the black finish) are made from an industrial-grade rigid PVC composite.
There is no steel inside the panels themselves. The steel component comes into play only if you install the system using our steel-reinforced InstallStrips (hidden fastener system), which provide added strength and support.
