For the best installation and maximum holding capacity, we recommend installing one InstallStrip at every wall stud behind the panel.
For a typical 4' Standard Duty panel, this usually means using 2 InstallStrips (assuming standard 16" or 24" stud spacing).
If your panel layout allows you to span 3 studs, even better! Using 3 InstallStrips per 4' panel provides additional support and is the strongest installation option.
While fewer InstallStrips may support the panel, we recommend following our installation guidelines to achieve the maximum load capacity and long-term performance of the system.
